The Audi RR motorcycle is the result of an inescapable curiosity of mine. What would a bike look and feel like if Audi were to design it?
In staying true to Audi's form, the RR respects the aesthetic of a pure, clean, resolved monolithic form with partlines strategically dividing the body into well integrated features.
This motorcycle was designed in the spirit of Audi tradition and the promise of Truth in Engineering. (Auto Union photo credit: hemmings.com)
Rear view camera lenses on the end of the handlebars allow the rider to see a real-time rear view feed inside the helmet's visor (see Arai SmartHelmet project COMING SOON).
Race inspired single-sided swingarm and fork allows the mechanic quick access to removal of both wheels.
Like the Audi R8's clear glass engine hood, the RR's motor is shielded by optically clear vent panels. This provides protection and celebrates the engineering inside, which is a hallmark of the brand.
Hybrid sport technology allows the RR to whisper quietly in street mode or roar athletically in performance mode.
The color, trim, and accessories are specific to each model. Stealth matte black or Audi silver.
This is what happens when filling out your timesheet takes too long. Your mind starts to wander, you think about what you'd rather be doing, you end up with a concept bike. Thanks Accounting!
